The CW has seemingly spent today announcing a host of new projects and renewed shows. After confirming both ARROW and THE FLASH for renewal, now comes word on another DC-based show for the network.

To be part of their online CW Seed content, it’s been revealed that DC’s Vixen will be getting her own animated series, with both The Arrow and The Flash joining her at times. Marc Guggenheim, showrunner of ARROW and executive producer on both ARROW and THE FLASH, will be executive producing this new show, which will seemingly just be titled VIXEN. The CW has even gone as far as revealing some promotional art for the show, as below:

The character of Vixen, created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner, first appeared back in 1981’s ACTION COMICS #521. Her main skills involve the ability to mimic animals, and the character has gone on to cover a host of bases by appearing in the Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and the Justice League. Quite the impressive CV, no?
