With NBC’s DC-set workplace comedy show Powerless currently in development, the series has run in to a pretty major problem.

It’s being reported by Deadline that creator and showrunner Ben Queen has left the show. The outlet claims that the departure was a mutual decision between Queen, NBC and Warner Bros. TV based on the ever-familiar creative differences.

This couldn’t really have come at a worse time for the series as it was actually due to go in to production in just two weeks. That has now been postponed while the network finds a new showrunner, although the current plan still has Powerless to be a part of NBC’s 2016-2017 slate.

NBC has already ordered a full season of the show, which will star Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk. The basic premise centres on an insurance company that exists in the DC world and has to deal with the chaos and carnage left over by superheroes and villains.
