One of the films receiving its World Premiere at the STARBURST International Film Festival, held in Manchester on August Bank Holiday weekend, is hard-hitting pseudo-documentary Don’t You Recognise Me?

Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Jason Figgis (The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann), it’s a tense and often brutal film that will really go down well with the festival audience.

The official synopsis is:

When documentary director Tony Aiello reaches out to K Gallagher to become the participant of his Day in the Life documentary, the filmmaker unwittingly finds himself embroiled in 24 hours of terror.

The STARBURST International Film Festival takes place on August 26th-28th at Manchester’s MMU Complex, and tickets are available now from www.starburstfilmfest.co.uk.
