British films, Trainspotting is right up there and has a whole host of fans.
So, with that said, are you ready for Trainspotting 2?

Director Danny Boyle has revealed that a sequel to 1996’s Trainspotting is now finally happening.
The original was written by John Hodge and based on Irvine Welsh’s famed novel,
and Boyle revealed the news of a sequel at a recent screening of the Michael
Fassbender-starring Steve Jobs.

Speaking to Deadline,
Boyle confirmed, “All the four main actors want to come back and do it. Now it is only a
matter of getting all their schedules together, which is complicated by two of
them doing American TV series.”

Of course, Welsh penned a sequel novel titled Porno. Hodge will be adapting this for
what is being called Trainspotting 2
at this stage. Boyle also revealed that the sequel will be his next film,
depending on whether schedules can be sorted out. The four “main actors” that the director refers to our Ewan McGregor, Robert
Carlyle, Ewan Bremner and Johnny Lee Miller. As for the US shows he referenced,
Carlyle is currently starring in Once
Upon a Time
and Miller is taking centre-stage in Elementary.

In Irvine Welsh’s Porno,
the plot focusses on Sick Boy directing a porn film, for which he calls in
Renton for assistance. Elsewhere, the rowdy Begbie gets out of prison and has
an offer from Spud to kill him in order for Spud’s other half to get an insurance
pay off.
