With a retro price tag and NO in-app purchases, Playworld has been created to fire the imagination of gamers everywhere, challenging each player to design – and then become – their own superhero, saving the world from a variety of freaky aliens across a series of escalating challenges and episodes.

An ambitious new venture from Evolution Studios founder and MotorStorm creator Martin Kenwright, the crafty challenge of Playworld brings over 30 years of experience developing more than 69 console titles to the world of mobile kids’ gaming. Designed from the ground up for children aged 5+, Playworld forms the brand wrapper for a series of action adventure games fused together by themes of crafting and creativity. Players are invited to enter a world where the boundaries of what’s possible are exploded by their unique creations, crafting in real time the tools and suits needed to overcome enemy invasion in Playworld – a portal to another realm of power play.

“Playworld is like the secret doorway into a child’s imagination,” explains Kenwright. “A child has the ability to transform the most mundane item into fantastical objects of great importance, and we really tried to mimic the way that children play with Playworld. Where an adult might only see a cardboard box, a child sees endless possibility, anything from a rocket to a superhero suit. In Playworld, imagination is the greatest superpower, you truly get to become the hero of your own creations.”

Each instalment of super-powered playtime begins in the treehouse, a crafting hub in which players let their creativity run wild! Gamers can paint, cut, build, and modify their ultimate superhero suit and logo, before jumping from the calm tranquillity of the treehouse to the action-packed spectacle of Playworld – the land of your imagination! Under attack by the mischievous Golumites, Playworld needs a hero to save the land from certain destruction.

Defeat playful enemies on the ground in intense moment-to-moment action, and jump back to the treehouse to craft new tools and gadgets to level up your powers, then take to the skies for the ultimate showdown with a towering intergalactic monster! Armed only with your imagination, you must skip between two worlds to save them both in a Hollywood blockbuster-styled extravaganza.

Playworld Superheroes will be available from 29th January on iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, iPad Air and iPad Air 2, and will cost £2.99, €3.99 and $3.99.
