Are you one of those who’ve been yearning for that long-mooted third Hellboy movie? Well, maybe, just maybe, you’ll get your wish.

Don’t get us wrong, we’ve know been teased with Hellboy III for years now, and ultimately it’s always come to nothing. Now though, writer/director Guillermo del Toro has taken to his Twitter page to run a poll asking about people’s interest in the final part of what was always planned to be a Hellboy trilogy. Of course, the poll itself is made up of two options: “YES” and “HELL YES”.

The interesting part is that del Toro followed up his initial tweet with an intriguing message: “The HELLBOY III is our chance to vote the right way in 2017. If 100k votes come in 24 hours I promise to have a sit down with Perl and Mignola.”

Perl, obviously, is the star of the franchise, Ron Perlman. As for Mignola, that’s Mike Mignola, creator of the Hellboy character.

Will we finally get Hellboy III or do we just have to admit that this particular ship may well have sadly sailed? As ever, expect more on all of this as it develops.
