You only have to look at some of the popular shows of the ‘90s to realise there was something of a fascination with witches, from CHARMED, to SABRINA and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. With shows like THE WITCHES OF EAST END doing the rounds, it seems as though witches never quite fell out of fashion. But with the first rumblings of a remake of 1996’s THE CRAFT, it looks like witches might be back with a vengeance.

News from Dread Central has revealed that one of its readers took part in a research panel. After being grilled about the film, they were specifically asked ‘based on everything you know, how likely would you be to see a reboot of THE CRAFT in theater if it were released?’

While the above question may just be research, it’s opened up the very real possibility that a CRAFT remake may well be on the way. Until then, we’ll dig out our battered old copy of Andrew Fleming’s underrated teen witch flick.
