The outlook for CONSTANTINE getting a second season has been looking pretty bleak lately. There was a glimmer of hope when it was rumoured that Syfy would continue the televisual adventures of the urban mage and rebrand the show HELLBLAZER, but that glimmer was soon extinguished when the rumour proved to be just that.

However, CONSTANTINE showrunner Daniel Cerone has said via Twitter that NBC hasn’t officially cancelled yet the show, and he’s confident that there could be a sophomore season after all.

“NBC made some early pickups but #Constantine not cancelled. We’ll pitch them our plans for 2nd season in May. Then they decide.”

Cerone also stated that fans can help with the shows survival by streaming or buying episodes, and persuading family and friends to watch it.

“Anyone putting money in studio coffers by purchasing #Constantine in any form will motivate studio to find a home for show”.

He also urged fans outside of the USA to do the same as foreign sales can greatly influence a shows fate. “The more international viewers the better”, advised Cerone, “Foreign sales can drive a series. Keep it on air. Look at #Hannibal for proof.”

CONSTANTINE’s future could well be our hands so you know what to do folks – get watching and hex your friends and family into watching it too!
