Critically acclaimed gothic horror comic book La Belle Dame Sans Merci has teamed up with the cult punk-rock band For the Wolf to launch Chapter Two of the John Keats inspired graphic novel.

The American punk rockers have released A Faery’s Song, from their second album Turn on the Dark. The track is based on the first chapter of La Belle Dame Sans Merci. Musician Kristy Emory said “I grew up in a family made up of pastors and evangelists, but I also grew up a fan of horror. Staying up late watching Tales from the Crypt with my Mom, the horror that I’ve always gravitated toward has involved that struggle with heaven and hell – the dark and the light. After reading the first issue of LBDSM I was hooked, so when we were asked to write a theme I was ecstatic.”

In addition to this musical accompaniment, the second chapter of La Belle Dame Sans Merci is chock full of interesting and creative goodies. The core story, written by former Starburst columnist P M Buchan and drawn by the very talented Karen Yumi Lusted. It will also feature an essay on Keats by feminist pop-culture writer Miranda Brennan and cover colours by Young Avenger’s artist Kate Brown.
