With Denzel Washington already on board, Dan Gilroy’s Inner City is now looking at signing up Colin Farrell.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Farrell is in talks to join Denzel in the thriller, which has been written and will be directed by Nightcrawler’s Gilroy.

Plot-wise, Inner City will centre on an awkward, reclusive lawyer who has spent decades working as a legal researcher in Los Angeles. Following the death of his mentor, the lawyer is hired by a more prestigious-yet-cutthroat legal firm – and it’s there that he happens upon a case that will change his life. Washington is signed on to play the lawyer at the heart of the film, while Farrell is in talks to play the money-driven slickster who’s looking to recruit Washington’s character to his firm.

The current plan is for Inner City to start shooting in March, although Columbia Pictures have yet to give the film a confirmed release date.
