It was a few weeks ago that Christopher McQuarrie was apparently offered the directing gig for the upcoming Mission: Impossible 6, and now the director has confirmed his return.
In ever-so-slightly cheesy fashion, McQuarrie took to Twitter to simply state, “Mission: Accepted #MI6”.
The last story we’d heard on this was that McQuarrie, who co-wrote and directed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, was wanted to write and helm this latest Mission: Impossible installment. Production could even commence as early as August 2016, although plot-wise all that is known on this next movie in the franchise is that star Tom Cruise will be back as Ethan Hunt.
As ever, expect more on Mission: Impossible 6 as and when it develops.
