The upcoming sequel to Bryan Bertino’s The Strangers has finally moved to bring in its first cast members.

As per Bloody Disgusting, the follow-up has cast Firefly and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks, and the outlet has also discovered that Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’s Bailee Madison and Aftermath’s Lewis Pullman are part of the film, too.

With The Other Side of the Door’s Johannes Roberts on board to direct, The Strangers 2 is currently set to start shooting at the end of this month ahead of a to-be-confirmed 2018 release.

The early synopsis on the sequel reads:

The Strangers 2 follows a family whose road trip takes a turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park and after the power goes out they decided to hunker down for the night in a borrowed trailer. Under the cover of darkness, three familiar masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test their every limit.

As ever, expect more on The Strangers 2 as it develops.
