When SHARKNADO splashed onto screens a few years back, it was mildly enjoyable trash at best. By the time SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE’s opening scene saw Tara Reid hanging out of an airplane, shooting flying sharks with a handgun… yeah, you’d lost us. Still, a third movie in the series is currently shooting, and some details are starting to come out on just which names will be appearing in the threequel.

Last week saw WWE superstar, Fozzy frontman, podcast host, best-selling author, and actor Chris Jericho revealed to have a role in the film, playing a rollercoaster attendant. Joining Jericho will be Bo Derek as Tara Reid’s mother, ‘N Sync’s Chris Kirkpatrick as a swimming pool lifeguard, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban as the President of the United States, and author Ann Coulter as the Vice President of the USA. These new additions will be joined by the returning Reid, Ian Ziering and Cassie Scerbo. It’s also rumoured that Vanilla Ice will make an appearance too – we know, please try and contain your excitement.

Plot-wise, this time out the action will see the Sharknado-based carnage hit Washington, D.C. 

SHARKNADO 3 is currently shooting, ahead of airing on Syfy in July.
