FOX’s GOTHAM has gone and cast another familiar DC name. This time, as reported by Deadline, HOMELAND’s Chris Chalk is joining the show as Lucius Fox.

This new addition will debut in the penultimate episode of the show’s current season, with an option in place to bring him back for Season 2. As for the character of Lucius Fox himself, he made his comic book debut back in 1979 and is usually seen as the CEO of Wayne Enterprises and also as a silent partner of sorts for Batman. Fox was previously played in live-action by Morgan Freeman during Christopher Nolan’s DARK KNIGHT trilogy.

Additionally, Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that there are currently no plans for Fish Mooney to return in Season 2 of the show, prompting speculation that the character may be offed during the home stretch of Season 1.
