Following the return of The X-Files, creator Chris Carter has been talking about potentially bringing back another of his babies: Millennium.

Speaking to Deadline, Carter explained, “I think Millennium would be a show that would have more life in it but no one’s ever spoken seriously to me about that. I always feel that there are more of those stories to tell as well. After three seasons, we pulled the plug on that show but the ratings were still very good. So I think that there is a new approach to that show building on the solid foundation that was already there.”

Millennium began life back in 1996, featuring genre fave Lance Henriksen as an ex-FBI agent who has the power to see in to the minds of criminals. While the show was canned in 1999, Henriksen did reprise his role of Frank Black for a one-off X-Files appearance.

Whether anything further comes of this, we’ll have to wait and see. As ever, though, expect more on a potential Millennium return if and when we get it.
