The trailer for Ben Fortune’s Doctor Plague has been released.
Synopsis: Cynical London detective John Verney (Martin Kemp) hunts a menacing masked serial killer who stalks London dressed as a 17th-century Plague Doctor. As the body count rises, John finds himself under pressure from his superior, who dismisses the murders as routine gang violence. Adding to the chaos, a swarm of journalists starving for sensational headlines circles ever closer, ready to twist the case into whatever story will sell.
As the pressure mounts to catch the killer, the detective is drawn into a deadly web involving secret cults and even the infamous 19th-century serial murderer Jack the Ripper. When his son vanishes into the hands of abductors and the people he once trusted turn against him, John is forced to take justice into his own hands. Pushed to the edge with nowhere else to turn, he descends into the shadowy maze beneath the city, an underground world where a long-buried malevolence waits. To save his child, he must confront the darkness others refuse to face, even if it costs him everything.

The cast also features a strong supporting ensemble, including Peter Woodward (Babylon 5), David Yip (A View to a Kill), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Renegades), Wendy Glenn (You’re Next), and Daisy Beaumont (The World Is Not Enough), each bringing their own distinct presence to the film.
Doctor Plague is a Shogun Films Production in association with Empire Studios. Directed by Ben Fortune, produced by Jonathan Sothcott, and written by Robert Dunn and Simon Cluett.
