Despite apparently retiring from making movies last year, Rob Zombie’s upcoming film, titled 31, is already being teased on the artist’s Facebook page with an alluring array of concept pieces.

The production drawings, from artists Alex Horley, give an insight into what the industrial rocker has in store this time around. It looks like a departure from previous works, the twisted backwoods horror of HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES, the bloated HALLOWEEN remake or the so-so LORDS OF SALEM.

Zombie has said “All I can tell you is that it’s a completely original idea, it’s something new”, Zombie teased last month. “It’s not based on anything. I’ll start shooting the movie in the fall. So hopefully starting from October, I’ll start shooting it. For right now, I’m going to keep the details secret. But it’s not based on anything.“

 Little is known about the film at this stage, but casting decisions are expected soon.
