Child actor Charles Herbert, who was in some of the most iconic films of the 50’s and 60’s, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada due to heart complications at the age of 66.

Born Charles Herbert Saperstein on December 23rd, 1948 in Culver City, California he was discovered by a talent agent at the age of four while riding on a bus with his mother which led to his first role in Half Pint Panel.

Mr Herbert was the one child actor most kids growing identified with as he confronted ghosts, aliens, a robot, monsters, and a human fly whose characters he portrayed were intelligent and inquisitive.

Some of his twenty films he appeared in included The Monster That Challenged the World, The Colossus of New York, 13 Ghosts, The Fly, and in the Bert I. Gordon film The Boy and the Pirates where he starred with the late Susan Gordon. He also appeared in The Five Pennies with her.

Television appearances include Science Fiction Theater, M Squad, The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Fugitive, and Rawhide.
