Following on from the news earlier this week that Sir Elton John was in talks to join Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the film has now added Channing Tatum to its ranks.

Tatum was set to go into production on 20th Century Fox’s Gambit, but the delays on that film – it’ll likely start production at the end of this year now – mean that the Magic Mike actor’s schedule is likely a little freer than expected. No details are known on what role Tatum will be taking in Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman sequel, although he revealed his casting in the below Tweet:

With this news, it sees Channing Tatum join a cast that includes Taron Egerton as Eggsy, Mark Strong as Merlin, Halle Berry as the Head of the CIA, and a role simply known as “Jack Daniels” for Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal. Additionally, Julianne Moore is in talks to play the sequel’s villain, whilst this week brought those reports that Elton John was also in discussions for a role in the film.

From 20th Century Fox, to again be helmed by Matthew Vaughn, Kingsman: The Golden Circle is currently set for a June 16th, 2017 release.
