Not everyone may agree, but subtle sci-fi drama Limitless was actually a pretty decent film, combining genre trappings that we’ve come to know and love. That said, we’re not sure it needed a series. Nevertheless, according to Variety, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Kavanaugh are developing a pilot for CBS.

Additionally, there’s a roster of heavyweight producers attached to the project, including Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Elementary exec producer Craig Sweeny will be penning the script, while Neil Burger, who helmed the original feature, will direct. Both Sweeny and Burger will also serve as executive producers.

The series, far from rebooting the film, will pick up where the feature ended, where Cooper’s character used a drug to unlock more of his mind’s potential and put him in a position of power.

TV networks gobbling up feature films doesn’t look like a craze that’s going to lose steam any time soon, so which films do you think deserve the TV treatment?
