With production now underway on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (which is definitely, definitely, definitely the “final chapter”… honest), the film’s full cast list has been revealed.

Whilst we already knew that Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter were back as Alice and Claire Redfield, respectively, now comes word that the rest of the cast is to be made up of Iain Glen as Dr. Alexander Isaacs, Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker, Ruby Rose as Abigail, Eoin Macken as Doc, William Levy as Christian, Fraser James as Michael, and Japanese model Rola as Cobalt. There’s no confirmation of them at this stage, but there’s some heavy rumours that Wentworth Miller will be back as Chris Redfield, not to mention Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine.

The official word on The Final Chapter reads:

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

To be directed once more by Paul W.S. Anderson, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is currently being looked at for a January 2017 release.
