Callie Cooke, who played the harried pit stop tire gunner in Brad Pitt’s Oscar-nominated F1, has landed the lead role opposite Keanu Reeves in Warner Bros.’ untitled action movie, which is being directed by Tim Miller.

Nicholas Duvernay, Steven Waddington, Abraham Popoola, Bobby Holland Hanton and Anastasia Safonov have also joined the cast. The feature was titled Shiver when Warners picked it up last year, and filming begins this week in the Dominican Republic.

Ian Shorr wrote the script, which has been described as having shades of Edge of Tomorrow, the Tom Cruise sci-fi about a soldier trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion, and The Shallows, the Blake Lively shark survival movie.

The story sees a smuggler (Reeves) trapped in a time loop after a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea. Cooke plays the role of a scientist. Little else is known about the characters.

Matthew Vaughn, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett and John Zaozirny are producing. Scott Lumpkin is exec producing.

Callie Cooke has previously appeared on television series Britannia, The Stranger, and an episode of Doctor Who. Tim Miller is best known for directing Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate, as well as creating the animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots.

Warner Bros. will release the untitled survival film on August 13th, 2027.
