Burt Kwok, known as Mr. Ling in Goldfinger and the comical martial arts wild man, Cato Fong in the Pink Panther series, has left us at the age of 85.

Born on July 18th, 1930, in Warrington, Cheshire, England, Mr. Kwok was raised in Shanghai, China where he took an interest in theatre as a young man.

An amazing, versatile actor he could play comedic roles to serious dramatic ones.

Mr. Kwok’s feature films include Val Guest’s seldom seen Yesterday’s Enemy, and Expresso Bongo, Inn of the Sixth Happiness, You Only Live Twice, Casino Royale (1967), Terror of the Tongs, The War Lover, The Chairman, Koroshi (the two colour episodes made into a feature film from the Secret Agent series.) The Shoes of the Fisherman, Brides of Fu Manchu, the silly I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle, and The Last Remake of Beau Geste.

Television credits include Doctor Who, The Avengers, Secret Agent, Jason King, The Saint, Return of The Saint, Callan, The Kenny Everett Show, Tenko, Space Precinct, and Spirit Warriors.

STARBURST sends our heartfelt thoughts out to his friends and family for an actor that we will always remember.
