The long-mooted Freddie Mercury biopic has had its fair share of problems getting off the ground in recent years, most notably losing Sasha Baron Cohen as its star earlier this year. Now though, it looks as if all systems are go on the film.

Not only has the film now got a star, it’s also got a director and a title. Bryan Singer took to his Instagram page to reveal that the movie will be called Bohemian Rhapsody and that Mr. Robot’s Rami Malek will be the man tasked with bringing the legendary Freddie Mercury to the big screen.

Singer posted the following:

No further details are known on who else is on board of the picture or when it will be released, but expect more on this as it develops. Let’s just hope that Rami Malek sticks around longer than Sasha Baron Cohen, and that it’s not a case of another one bites the dust…

We’ll get our coat.
