With the Power Rangers redo currently in production, the film has brought in Bryan Cranston as Zordon.

The Breaking Bad star took to his Twitter account to confirm that he’ll be playing the mentor of the titular team, saying, “Excited to play #Zordon in the #PowerRangersMovie! T or F: #BlueRanger Billy Cranston was named after what actor?”

Cranston joins a cast that’s made up of Dacre Montgomery as Jason/Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy/Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly/Pink Ranger, Becky G as Trini/Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack/Black Ranger, and Elizabeth Banks as the villainous Rita Repulsa.

The official blurb on the film reads:

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

To be directed by Dean Israelite, Power Rangers is set for a March 24th, 2017 release.
