British director Gene Fallaize is recruiting talent for his next venture titled WELCOME TO PURGATORY and cult-icon Bruce Campbell has joined the cast. THE EVIL DEAD hero will star in this fantasy film along with the likes of THE INBETWEENERS’ James Buckley, Nathan Jones, Stephen Marcus, Jillian Murray and Jack O’Halloran.

“WELCOME TO PURGATORY follows three new arrivals (Willis, Danni and Taylor) as they navigate this fresh vision of the Afterlife, helped along by Guardian Paul. The gates of heaven and hell have broken and the Afterlife lies in ruins. The arrivals must find a way to put things right in order to prevent an eternal battle between good and evil.” – (Cupsogue Pictures’ synopsis)

It looks like the American actor will add a touch of dark experience to the piece, as fans of Sam Raimi will remember Brucie at the centre of many horrific situations, fending off hordes of gruesome nasties in countless cult films. Not exactly your everyday ‘Bus wanker’ then…

Campbell’s role is as of yet unspecified, however the production is set to start soon in order to achieve the studio’s planned 2015 theatrical release.
