While Bruce Campbell has previously stated how he has essentially retired from playing Ashley J. Williams, the major genre fave has now teased that something is on the way for the Evil Dead franchise.
Speaking to Inquisitr, Campbell explained, “[Fans are] going to see different versions, they’re going to be seeing more Evil Dead, too. We’re not done with the Evil Dead saga. More stories to tell.”
When asked on whether Fede Alvarez, the director of the 2013 Evil Dead reboot, could possibly return for whatever is next for the franchise, Campbell said, “Fede’s a big Hollywood director now. I don’t know if Fede needs this. We’ll have to see.”
For those still yearning for more of Bruce Campbell’s Ash, however, fear not, for the actor has said that, while he is physically done playing the character, he is still open to voicing Ash in any audio projects or video games.
As ever, expect more on all things Evil Dead if and when we get it.
