When done right, there’s nothing better than a tense space-set adventure. As such, we’re a tad excited here at Moonbase Alpha to hear that Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones are coming together for just such a movie.

As per Deadline, Pitt and Jones will be teaming for Ad Astra, a futuristic sci-fi thriller set up in the stars. James Gray has co-wrote the film, and he’ll also be directing.

With Brad Pitt to play Roy McBride, the current early blurb on the picture reads:

Twenty years after his father left on a one-way mission to Neptune in order to find signs of extra-terrestrial intelligence, McBride travels through the solar system to find him and understand why his mission failed.

At present, the plan is for production to start this September.
