A new project has been announced from the mind of Gerry Anderson, creator of CAPTAIN SCARLET, THUNDERBIRDS, and many other beloved series – despite the fact he sadly passed away last year.

GEMINI FORCE ONE, a concept developed by Anderson between 2008 and 2011, has been detailed on a Kickstarter page launched today. The plan is for author MG Harris to complete the first instalment, BLACK HORIZON, a novel begun by Anderson. It’ll be released to backers in April next year, before a full release in August to tie in with the fiftieth anniversary (yes, it has been that long) of THUNDERBIRDS going into production. The characters will eventually spin off into TV or film.

The story follows “a secret organisation involved in rescues and averting disasters and terrorist events” – so it’s classic Anderson themes moved into the twenty-first century. Harris has been chosen, according to Anderson’s son Jamie, because she “really understood what Gerry Anderson concepts were all about, how to keep it as close to possible to the original idea” – so this really could be an exciting new franchise for the great man’s fans.

Have a look at the Kickstarter and, if you’re up for more Anderson-style action, support the project today!
