Timothée Chalamet unveiled the first teaser for the cannibal romance Bones and All via Twitter. The project reunites him with his Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino and is based on the novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis.

It’s a story of first love between Maren (Taylor Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and an intense and disenfranchised drifter, Lee (Chalamet, in his best Machine Gun Kelly costume). Per the logline, Maren Yearly wants the same things we all do. She wants to be someone people admire and respect. She wants to be loved. But her secret, shameful needs have forced her into exile. She hates herself for the bad thing she does, for what it’s done to her family and her sense of identity; for how it dictates her place in the world and how people see her – how they judge her. She didn’t choose to be this way.

Guadagnino directs from a script by long-time collaborator David Kajganich (Suspiria), with Michael Stuhlbarg, André Holland, Chloë Sevigny, David Gordon-Green, Jessica Harper, Jake Horowitz and Mark Rylance rounding out the cast.

The film receives its premiere at Venice Film Festival (for what’s Venice without a Chalamet debut?) later this month. Watch the teaser for Bones and All below, ahead of a November 2022 cinema release.
