With the past weekend bringing word that Josh Trank will no longer be directing the second Star Wars Anthology movie, now comes some news on just what will be the focus of that particular jaunt to a galaxy far, far away.

The Wrap is reporting that, as many had speculated/hoped, the now Trank-less second Anthology movie will focus on everyone’s favourite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. The term “origin story” has been bandied about, and it’s believed that the film will focus on some of the character’s early antics that took place between Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. The last time we saw Boba on screen was as he held dad Jango’s severed head in Attack of the Clones.

At present, the second Anthology movie is expected for a 2018 release. Before that we’ve got J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens on December 18th of this year, then Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One on December 16th, 2016 and Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26th, 2017.
