With Josh Boone’s New Mutants having recently confirmed four of its titular team, now comes word on another new addition for next year’s release.

As per Heat Vision, 20th Century Fox has cast Blu Hunt – a relative newcomer best known for The Originals – as Danielle Moonstar. This Native American telepath is also known by the alter-ego of Psyche or later as Mirage. With the film seemingly pulling inspiration form the Demon Bear Saga, expect Moonstar to be a hugely important character in New Mutants.

Already on board for the young mutant-based effort are The Witch’s Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, and 13 Reasons Why’s Henry Zaga as Sunspot. In addition to this, Rosario Dawson is in talks to play a mentor to the titular team, whilst shape-shifting alien Warlock (not to be confused with Adam Warlock…) will make an appearance in the form of CGI.

The current plan is for New Mutants to start shooting this July ahead of an April 13th, 2018 release.
