Lately, it seems that barely a week goes by where we don’t get some Blade Runner 2 casting news, and so today brings word that Sylvia Hoeks has joined the sequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic 1982 movie.

Dutch actress Hoeks is best known for her work in TV and for taking centre-stage in Tirza, a movie nominated for the Best Foreign Language effort at the 2010 Oscars. She’s also appeared alongside Geoffrey Rush in 2013’s The Best Offer.

On this new addition, Alcon Entertainment’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson said, “Sylvia is a radiant talent, a tremendous actress with great appeal in a wide variety of roles. Her addition to this vastly accomplished international cast is a perfect fit.”

Sylvia Hoeks joins a cast that’s currently made up of Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, and Ana de Armas.

To be directed by Sicario’s Denis Villeneuve, the current plan is for Blade Runner 2 to arrive in cinemas on October 6th, 2017.
