He may have been deprived of going full-on Two Face back in the day, but Billy Dee Williams is to finallyget the chance to play the Duke of Duplicity.

It’s been revealed that Williams will be lending his vocals to Two Face in next year’s The LEGO Batman Movie, which comes nearly three decades after he played Harvey Dent in Tim Burton’s Michael Keaton-starring Batman movies. Williams played Dent in both Batman and Batman Returns, with the plan reportedly to have the actor, also known as Lando Calrissian to many of us, to transition to the villainous Two Face down the line. That never came to be, however, with Tommy Lee Jones brought in to play Two Face in Batman Forever.

Williams joins a cast the includes Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham, Zack Galifianakis as The Joker, and then to-be-confirmed names as Harley Quinn, Bane, King Tut, Orca, Zodiac Master, The Eraser, and March Harriet.

The official word on The LEGO Batman Movie reads:

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of the ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: The LEGO Batman Movie. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

To be directed by Chris McKay, The LEGO Batman Movie is currently set for February 10th, 2017.
