Jon Favreau’s THE JUNGLE BOOK redo over at Disney has got quite the impressive voice cast coming together, and now comes the official word that Bill Murray will be lending his vocal talents to Baloo in the movie.

As well as Murray, this latest telling of Rudyard Kipling’s classic will feature Ben Kingsley voicing Bagheere, Lupita Nyong’o voicing Raksha, Scarlett Johansson voicing Kaa, Christopher Walken voicing King Louie, and Idris Elba voicing Shere Khan. Additionally, 10-year-old Neel Sethi has been cast as Mowgli.

To be part-live-action/part-animation, Favreau’s THE JUNGLE BOOK is currently scheduled for a 9th October, 2015 release. Elsewhere, Andy Serkis is helming a version of the film, dubbed THE JUNGLE BOOK: ORIGINS, for Warner Brothers. That version of the classic tale will be released on 21st October, 2016.
