The Flash may still be on the run from authorities, but that won’t stop the rest of the Justice League from getting on with it all, as it turns out Arthur Curry and Bruce Wayne are reteaming for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Star Jason Momoa revealed Batman’s appearance in the Aquaman sequel, posting the news on Instagram with a picture of himself and Justice League costar Ben Affleck. The post came after fans on a bus tour apparently caught wind that Affleck was there filming with Momoa.

Ben Affleck previously announced his retirement from his Batman role in 2019 and has been open about both the personal and professional difficulties that came with donning the cape; which is why it came as a surprise to all when a year later, it was revealed Affleck would be back for Ezra Miller’s solo outing in The Flash. At the time, it was assumed this would therefore be his last outing, but we now know that’s not the case. Guess it’s hard to say no to that Warner Bros money.

The Flash, which will also feature Michael Keaton as Batman, is scheduled to release June 23rd, 2023. With Miller’s ongoing legal troubles, however, the future of the studio pic is uncertain. On the other hand, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom still looks poised to debut on March 17th, 2023.
