STARBURST is proud to announce that Toby Whithouse, writer of several great episodes of Doctor Who as well as creator and writer of the much-missed Being Human, will be attending the STARBURST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in August.

Toby is a powerhouse of British genre TV and will be on hand to tell all about working on two of the BBC’s most successful shows of the past ten years. It was Toby who brought back fan favourite Sarah Jane Smith (the much-missed Elisabeth Sladen) and the tin dog itself, K9 in the fantastic episode School Reunion. With Being Human, he introduced us to the concept of a vampire, werewolf, and a ghost sharing a Bristol flat.

The festival takes place in Manchester on August 26th-28th at the brand new Manchester Metropolitan University Student Union Complex.
