When it was first announced that CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 and BATMAN V SUPERMAN were going to be butting heads with simultaneous 6th May, 2016 releases, many were waiting to see which of these goliaths would flinch first in this cinematic cockfight. We now have our answer, as Warner Brothers’ MAN OF STEEL follow-up has been brought forward.

The WB have confirmed that BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE will now be released on 25th March, 2016, giving it some breathing space before Cap likely dominates the box office once more. Instead of battling the First Avenger, DAWN OF JUSTICE will now be going up against Brett Ratner’s BEVERLEY HILLS COP. In some further news, Warner Brothers Pictures has also released release dates for nine additional unknown DC projects.

Those dates are:

5th August, 2016

23rd June, 2017

17th November, 2017

23rd March, 2018

27th July, 2018

5th April, 2019

14th June, 2019

3rd April, 2020

19th June, 2020

In recent months, it was claimed that Warners and DC were lining up various features, such as a solo Wonder Woman movie, a Shazam movie, a Green Lantern and Flash team-up, a straight sequel to MAN OF STEEL, and an outing for Ben Affleck’s Batman. Could it be that some of these rumoured projects will be nabbing these confirmed release dates? We’d bet a whole stack of comics on it, faithful readers.

Expect more on all of this as and when it develops.
