The Dark Knight is headed back to the 1920s in Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham and has assembled an all-star voice cast, per a THR exclusive.
Grimm actor David Giuntoli will lead the charge as Bruce Wayne/Batman, alongside Tati Gabrielle (Uncharted, The 100) as Kai Li Cain, Christopher Gorham (the voice of Barry Allen/The Flash in the DC Animated Movie Universe) as Oliver Queen, John DiMaggio as James Gordon, Patrick Fabian as Harvey Dent, Brian George as Alfred, and Jason Marsden as Dick Grayson and Young Bruce Wayne.
Other members of the cast include Karan Brar as Sanjay Tawde, David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad) as Grendon, Navid Negahban as Ra’s al Ghul, Emily O’Brien as Talia al Ghul and Martha Wayne, Tim Russ as Lucius Fox, Matthew Waterson as Jason Blood/Etrigan, Jeffrey Combs as Kirk Langstrom, William Salyers as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Gideon Adlon (Witch Hunt) as Oracle, and Darin De Paul as Thomas Wayne.
In Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, Bruce Wayne accidentally unleashes an ancient being known as the Lurker on the Threshold and returns to Gotham for the first time after two decades away. Batman proceeds to face off against Lovecraftian supernatural forces and connect with friends and foes such as Green Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face, and James Gordon.
The project from Warner Bros. Animation is inspired by the 2001 graphic novel by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace and Troy Nixey; it is co-directed by Christopher Berkeley and Sam Liu from a script by Jase Ricci. It will release in the spring of 2023.
