It was only a mere few weeks ago that it was revealed that Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar would be starring in the animated Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, and now comes some fantastic news in regards to the movie’s release.

Previously, it was revealed that Return of the Caped Crusaders was to be released digitally on October 24th, with a Blu-ray and DVD release to follow on November 7th. Now comes news that the animated adventure will actually be getting a one night only cinema release, too. This follows hot on the heels of Batman: The Killing Joke getting similar treatment with a select cinema release earlier this year.

The official synopsis on Return of the Caped Crusaders reads:

It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by Batman’s most-evil opponents – The Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. The four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City.
