With Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen getting a new costume ahead of his Season 4 return, Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen is following suit as he prepares to return for Season 2 of The Flash.

The news of Barry’s new duds came out during San Diego Comic-Con, but The CW has now released an official teaser for The Flash’s return – a teaser that just so happens to feature the Scarlet Speedster’s new outfit, which is essentially more in-tune with what we saw from the future version of Barry during The Flash’s first season. It also pulls more from the classic comic book version of the Sultan of Speed’s outfit.

There’s certainly plenty on the agenda for Season 2 of the show, with the Multiverse to be explored, other Flash Jay Garrick confirmed to play a pivotal role (played by Teddy Sears), further Flash Wally West to appear at some point, and evil speedster Zoom to be the ‘big bad’ of the season.

The Flash returns to US screens on October 6th, with a UK return expected to follow shortly after.
