With the Russo Brothers’ Captain America: Civil War now in UK cinemas – it’s pretty awesome, right? – there’s some interesting news now come out where the Russos’ upcoming two-part Avengers adventure is concerned.

The two-parter has been long-confirmed to be titled Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War Part II, but Joe Russo has revealed that both movies will actually have different titles by the time they’re released.

Speaking to Uproxx, Joe said, “The intention is we will change it. We just haven’t come up with the titles yet. But yes, we will change it. And yes, that is a scoop: we will retitle them.”

We’ll have to wait and see whether the films pull inspiration from comic book events/arcs such as Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Abyss or Infinity Crusade, but at least we now know that Infinity War won’t be the final title for either of the Russos’ Avengers movies.

At present, the still-titled Avengers: Infinity War Part I is set for May 4th, 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War Part II will follow on May 3rd, 2019.
