Fans of audio science fiction in the UK are in for a treat this June; Radio 4 will be running a series of dramas and other programmes starting Saturday June 14th.

The series is themed around dystopian visions hence DANGEROUS VISIONS. For those too young to remember this was also a seminal collection of short stories edited by Harlan Ellison and published in 1967 that was accredited with helping to define what would later be called New Wave.

This particular collection starts on Saturday with an adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s wonderful THE ILLUSTRATED MAN. Among many highlights are Derek Jacobi and Hayley Atwell in Bradbury’s MARTIAN CHRONICLES (21st June) and James Purefoy stars with Jessica Raine in a new version of DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP. There is also a lot of work by new authors.

The series runs until the end of June and winds up with a Matt Haig story on June 29th entitled THE KEEPERS. Of course all titles will also be available on iPlayer for a further seven days.
