Following bankruptcy AudioGO has now been taken over by administrators with the loss of around 100 jobs. For customers this has been an uncertain period but this week it has emerged that Amazon have proposed a deal that will see it acquire the rights to around half of the AudioGO catalogue. If agreed the deal will be effective from February 2014 and will probably see these being available through Audible which Amazon already owns.

Starburst readers should be interested as the catalogue includes all the audio produced by the BBC including Doctor Who, Torchwood and Sherlock Holmes amongst many. More details as they emerge in the New Year.
