Does something really class as spoiler if it aired on TV back at the tail-end of 2014? If so, be warned that there’s some potential spoilers ahead in regards to ARROW.

With Oliver Queen seemingly dead at the hands of Ra’s al Ghul as Season 3 of the Emerald Archer show headed to its mid-season break, many are wondering just how Ollie will survive. And if we’ve learnt anything from comic books and comic book adaptations, it’s that nobody really remains dead. You can blame Superman for that. Anyway, given that Ra’s is now a part of ARROW, some are suggesting that Oliver will be brought back to life courtesy of a dip in a Lazarus Pit. Star Stephen Amell has moved to deny this.

Speaking to Collider, Amell said, “We just saw him fall. We’ve seen Oliver survive. So, whether he went straight off the cliff, whether something broke his fall, whether he hit the ground. We have mystical herbs on the show that have healing powers. We’ve seen a Lazarus Pit, although that’s not something that’s going to be used for Oliver. I hope he survives. I like playing him.”

And survive he will. If a Lazarus Pit is out of the question, other options could be some sort of Lazarus-type serum, Ollie survives and struggles on his own and eventually makes his way back to Starling City, or most likely somebody rescues Oliver from the clutches of death. If the last option does indeed happen, the logical choices seem to be John Barrowman’s Malcolm Merlyn, Karl Rune’s Maseo Yamashiro, or possibly even Rila Fukushima’s Tatsu Yamashiro, who in the comic book world is also known as Katana.

ARROW returns to US screens on Wednesday, whilst the show returns to the UK in early February.
