TV Guide is reporting that the latest name to join The CW’s ARROW will be NYPD BLUE’s Charlotte Ross. The actress will be playing the mother of Emily Bett Rickards’ Felicity Smoak. At this stage it’s unknown as to whether Ma Smoak will appear in the present day or in some flashback moments. In fairness, executive producer Marc Guggenheim has previously said that we’ll be learning a bit more about Felicity’s backstory during Season 3, and that’s what it looks like with this addition.

Season 3 of ARROW premiers on The CW on 8th October, with a UK return hopefully following shortly after.
