Whilst we know that there’s been talks of having Arnold Schwarzenegger return for Shane Black’s upcoming Predator movie, Das Arnold’s participation is yet to be confirmed. Now, though, Black has given a little more information on The Governator’s role if he does end up signing on for the film.

Speaking to CraveOnline, director Black explained, “These things all happened in 1990, but now it’s 25 years later. So in other words, if Arnold’s in it – which I’m not allowed to discuss – he would be old Arnold.”

Of course, this all makes perfect sense should Schwarzenegger return to one of his most iconic roles, that of Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer from 1987’s Predator, but some were a little trepidatious over whether some sort of younger Arnold may appear. We mean, it’s not like Arnold has been rejigged using CGI in anything before *cough* Terminator: Salvation *cough*…

Officially known as The Predator, this relaunch of the fan-favourite franchise is expected to start shooting by October at the latest, with a release date currently in place for March 2nd, 2018.
