Deadline is reporting that Before Midnight’s Ariane Labed has joined the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie.

Labed’s role in the adaptation of the classic video game franchise is currently unknown, although she joins a cast that features Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. 20th Century Fox is developing the film with Ubisoft Motion Pictures. It’s believed that Labed’s gig is the same one that Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander was recently up for.

The video game series itself focuses on Desmond Miles, a man captured by a secret organisation and regularly sent back in time into the body of an assassin in order to rescue valuable historical goodies.

At present, the plan is for Assassin’s Creed to start production in September ahead of a December 21st, 2016 release.
