Ready for another remake? Any by “another remake” we really actually mean another remake of a remake of a remake of a… You get the idea. Well, it’s been revealed that another take on The Saint is on the way.

Deadline broke the news, with it reported that Paramount is developing a new The Saint movie. Whilst not officially announced as being involved, the outlet believes that Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Robert Evans and Brad Krevoy are to serve as producers.

The Saint himself, Simon Templar, initially debuted back in Leslie Charteris’ 1928 Meet the Tiger before that was followed by Enter the Saint. RKO Pictures produced a host of Saint movies between 1938 and 1943, with Louis Hayward, George Sanders, and Hugh Sinclair all taking on the Templar role. The character was then famously brought to TV in the Roger Moore-starring The Saint; a show that ran from 1962 to 1969 and played a huge role in Moore eventually landing the James Bond gig. Then came another cinematic redo with the Val Kilmer-headlined 1997 The Saint. After that, the character was attempted to be taken back to the small screen, with Con Air’s Simon West helming a pilot starring Adam Rayner and Eliza Dushku. That pilot would ultimately not be picked up.

As ever, expect more on this as it develops.
