Following the commercial success of its first run of stop-motion films, film studio Laika have another three movies in the works. President and CEO, Travis Knight, has revealed the studios’ ambition to make a movie every year.

Focus Features, the organisation that got behind CORALINE, PARANORMAN and THE BOXTROLLS is extending its distribution deal with Laika to cover at least three more films. Universal Pictures International will be picking up distribution rights for the new Laika films outside of the US.

With the acclaim for the studio’s latest outing, THE BOXTROLLS, Laika have proved it isn’t just WALLACE AND GROMIT and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS that remains stop-motion’s cream of the crop.
